National Seminar on “Future Nation” Held by FPAB in Collaboration with UNDP
Dhaka: The Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), successfully hosted a national seminar titled “Future Nation” at 3 PM, at the FPAB National Headquarters Auditorium Today.
The timely and impactful event was graced by Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, Honorable Education Advisor to the Government of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest, and presided over by Ambassador Mosud Mannan ndc, President of FPAB.

The program commenced with the National Anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, setting a dignified and patriotic tone. This was followed by a welcome speech from Ambassador Mosud Mannan, who warmly greeted guests and shared the objectives of the seminar, emphasizing FPAB’s role in nation building.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Ms. Shakila Akhtar, representative from UNDP, who highlighted the strategic framework of the “Future Nation” initiative and its direct relevance to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She emphasized the importance of inclusive policies that promote education, gender equality, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
Eminent Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) specialist Dr. Halida Hanum addressed the reproductive health needs of young people, focusing on youth-friendly services, education, and access to resources. Her remarks shed light on the critical intersection of health, rights, and sustainable development.
The seminar was further honored by the presence of the Dr. Ashrafi Ahmed ndc Director General of the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) as Special Guest. In her speech, she appreciated the collaborative efforts between government and civil society in promoting youth-focused reproductive health and family planning programs.
Following this, Ambassador Mosud Mannan in his summing up speech, elaborated on FPAB’s current initiatives, achievements, and future plans. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to the all-round development of youth, women’s empowerment, inclusive education, and climate-resilient sustainable development.
The event concluded with an inspiring speech from the Chief Guest, Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, who praised the seminar as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration. He emphasized the importance of empowering young people through education, innovation, and inclusive policymaking to achieve Bangladesh’s development aspirations.
